The Color of Light – Vietnamese Lanterns.
Recently whilst in Vietnam, in Hoi An, I took a photo of lanterns at night. This photo was my inspiration for this painting. I love the freedom, the color, the floating feeling and the warmth the painting gives the onlooker.
Whist learning at Monsalvat I painted this still life of paint brushes and the silver jug. I love this oil painting as it has life and colour and is a true visual of what I saw. I love this painting.
This painting of my beautiful Border Collie Georgia, was fun to paint as I loved making her larger than life which she is in our family.
Happy as a Pig . . just puts a smile on my face. I painted her from a photo I took recently in Vietnam. This female pig was larger than life in her pen and hence I wanted to paint her larger than life.
