Since the beginning of 2026, I have started playing with water color paints and have found a lovely medium that I can extend my artistic abilities with. Water Color painting is so different from painting in oils or even acrylics and I am finding it much more of a challenge. After purchasing various colors, types and textures of water color paints I have started making cards for different occasions.
Paints
By using colors from vivid color tubes I have extended my palate to fluorescent pearly semi dry water colors, to opaque semi-solid watercolors, Metallic Watercolor Paints Pearl Pigment Watercolor.
Brushes
Purchasing different types of brushes is no different to painting with oil and abstract brushes however because it is easy to have a slip up with water color, picking the right brush to use is more important. My needle point brushes, natural sable hair detail brushes, Hollow Hog Bristle Texture Paint Brush Set, various sizes of Comb Brushes, and my wash brushes are all helping me to explore more styles and techniques.
Paper
Another way of expressing myself is by making cards of various themes and learning how to use water color paints.
